The Homeless Care Council of Northwest Alabama serves as the lead agency and Collaborative Applicant for the AL-502 Continuum of Care (CoC), a regional planning body designated by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). Serving Lauderdale, Colbert, Franklin, Marion, Winston, and Lawrence counties, our CoC unites local non-profits, government agencies, housing providers, and community advocates to streamline resources and coordinate services. Together, we manage our region’s Coordinated Entry system, track community data through the Point-in-Time (PIT) count, and secure vital federal funding to deliver emergency shelter, supportive services, and long-term housing solutions across the Shoals and Northwest Alabama.
